"The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships."
- Tony Robbins
Hello friend, and hello 2025.
I don’t know about you, but 2025 is feeling good. From the conversations I’ve had with people, the energy around this year seems aligned.
Maybe it’s been long enough since post-COVID that we’ve bounced back mentally, maybe even financially and physically. Or maybe it’s just the people I’ve decided to spend my time with. It feels as if I’ve found my people since relocating to the Northern Rivers. I live with three of my best mates, and every Wednesday we get pizza or burgers - sometimes Thai, though that’s rare and more expensive. We lift weights together too, which is something new for me.
I’ve always been in the gym doing my own thing, but I never lifted with other guys before. Honestly, that’s been a highlight of 2024 for me. Tapping into my masculine side more has been refreshing, especially since I work solo and live with two incredible female friends. I don’t unleash that side of myself as much. But Wednesday nights, throwing weights around with old-school rap blasting alongside two other fellas? It’s fucking cool.
My circle is small, but we all have big dreams - dreams that scare us. And really, if your dreams don’t scare you, are they big enough? Being surrounded by people who push for more - more growth, more kindness, more self-improvement - is inspiring. We’re all striving to be better humans: better runners, better friends, better partners, better with our money, and better listeners. That quote, “You are the average of your five closest friends,” isn’t a lie. Thanks to my small circle, I stay more aligned with myself without needing constant reminders.
Choosing kindness every day is easier when the people around you are doing the same. Growing a business feels less daunting when your circle hypes you up and supports you.
I recently heard the quote, “Engineer your life to have more happiness.” It got me thinking about how relocating and starting fresh in a new place was just that—engineering my life for happiness. It’s not that I was unhappy in Adelaide, but I wanted change. And I got what I asked for. Because, well, if nothing changes, nothing changes.
Now I feel at home and ready for whatever the next few years bring.
2025 reminders:
Keep your circle small. Grow with them. Grow together.
Work hard - with intention behind each workday.
Work out first thing in the morning.
Read before bed.
Have more dinner dates with friends.
Bonus: Have dreams so big they scare you.
Happy Saturday. Here’s to a great year.

"Dreams so big that they scare you"
Thank You xx
